Datastream Computer Systems was formed in 1992 by Ross McKitterick. Our aim at the very beginning was to meet the demand for computer support for businesses who were then attempting to implement computer solutions at the start of the IT boom.
The computer industry has changed constantly since that time, and Datastream has changed with it. Over the last 15 years we have at various times provided support and services in hardware, networks and software, including Accounting Solutions. When MYOB was originally launched, we were one of the first and most reputable companies for ongoing support at the time.
However, the constant theme throughout all these cycles was the provision of computer and network support, which we now specialise in exclusively.

In a market often cluttered with a myriad of operators, Datastream’s long term approach to business has paid off in spades in customer loyalty. This is clear when you see that many loyal customers of Datastream have been with the company since its start up phase.
All Datastream staff are able to talk to customers in a sensible and practical manner and to tailor solutions to their actual needs. As the company’s strategy has been to offer a niche service, Datastream’s focus is on deepening opportunities rather than growing the business. To this end Datastream has a small staff of three, focused on customer needs.
